In a world where space is becoming limited, a studio in Germany has designed a windowless system for growing plants. Nui Studio was founded in 2014 as a place to create functional solutions to everyday problems. One of their newest ideas is a self-sustaining system where plants can grow without contact from humans which has been titled Lamp Mygdal.
The lamp looks similar to a large light bulb with a plant inside. This system requires no ventilation or irrigation which cuts out human interaction. The light inside the device is LED which has similar qualities to natural sunlight and thus, photosynthesis can take place.
While it is not available yet, the Lamp Mygdal seems to be the first step in growing plants in a brand new way.
